Cefn Gwernffrwd Row I

View from the south east (Scale 1m).

A single stone row measuring 5m long, including three medium-sized stones situated near the summit of a ridge. The row is orientated north east to south west and leads from a ring barrow. Another stone row, barrow and stone circle survive in the vicinity.

View from above and east (Scale 1m). The stone on the left measures 0.28m square by 0.64m high and stands 0.64m high. The middle stone measures 0.48m long by 0.43m wide and stands up to 0.70m high The stone on the right measures 0.35m long by 0.30m wide and stands 0.59m high.

Access Information

Car parking is available at SN 73866 51538. From here walk down the road to SN 73788 51562 and then follow the track/bridleway to SN 73962 50206. Enter the forest and follow the forest tracks to SN 73622 49408. The stone rows, cairns and stone circle are on your left. The sites are situated within a clearing in a working forest and from time to time access maybe denied when works are being carried out.
