Interpretation

Category: Probable. It is clear that stones and rocks on this hillside have been shifted during the historic period and it is possible that some of the stones identified as forming this stone row may have been placed in their present positions at this time.  The two largest stones were almost certainly erected during the prehistoric times and at least some of the others were probably erected at the same time.  The uncertainty is reflected in the category given to this site.

Typology

This stone row is of Type S9. Information on this form of stone row and other rows of this type is available here.
