Distribution of stone rows in Great Britain (click on this map to open).
The easiest way to explore the stone rows of Great Britain website is using interactive Goggle mapping. Each row is shown on the zoomable map which can be opened by clicking on the image above. The rows are depicted by a red star symbol and clicking on any of these symbols will hopefully open the appropriate gazetteer entry providing information on the row and links to other websites where further information can be consulted. The gazetteer is very much a work in progress and consequently some rows have more information than others. Inevitably there are also mistakes in the gazetteer, but hopefully over time these will be rectified as a result of feedback, fieldwork and research. Readers are invited to provide feedback and we look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you very much Rosie. This is a spatial index for all the gazetteer entries and makes it a lot easier to find specific sites. Indeed I find myself using it more and more. The gazetteer itself is still very much a work in progress. I have managed to visit about half of the sites and with time it should become increasingly useful.
