Featured Row – Lakehead Hill, East

View from the north east of the row and associated cairn with cist.

Following recent fieldwork on Lakehead Hill the Gazetteer entry for this stone alignment has been enhanced. Fresh photographs together with some observations on the visual links and reveals are now available here. The precision of the visual link with Longaford Tor is remarkable and provides further evidence to support the idea that rows were sited to refer directly to their surrounding landscape.
